Stefanie observatory

The observatory was built in 1887 by theater architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer and named after crown princess Stefanie. It is 22 meters high and is looked after by the Döblinger Naturfreunde. Enjoy its view on weekends from May to October.

St. Josefs church

The baroque church was destroyed in 1683 during the turkish siege and was later rebuilt.Today the church is a popular pilgrimage site. The black Madonna as well as various other relicts and pictures are reminders of the famous battle against the Turks.

Friedhof Kahlenberg

The cemetery was built in 1783 and is located underneath the Josef’s village at the Kahlenbergerstrasse. Here one can still find well-preserved tombstones from the Biedermeier era.
